Frontenac United Methodist Church

Open Hearts. Open Minds. Open Doors.

Pastor David Kang

I have been asked to introduce myself to you on our church’s webpage.  I serve both the Frontenac United Methodist Church and the Arma Methodist Church in southeast Kansas as their Lead Pastor.  You will find that both church congregations follow the Methodist beliefs by having open hearts, minds, and doors to all who seek Jesus Christ.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Theology from the Republic of Korea and a Master of Theology in Christian Education from the Republic of Korea as well.  I also completed a M.T.S. Degree from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.  I have always been very passionate with my relationship with Jesus Christ and share my knowledge of the Bible and personal experiences through my sermons and teachings while practicing my own personal genuine journey by following in Christ’s footsteps.

I truly believe that the United Methodist church exists to declare the name of the Lord (Jesus Christ).  This is a place to build a home for those who do not have one.  I love reaching out to those who need help and encouragement while building their own genuine relationship within our church communities as the Lord’s disciples that we are.

For this our church ministry seeks to experience God by discovering and practicing the Wesleyan Quadrilateral. There are four distinct ways in order that God reveals God’s self to our church community in the UMC. These are: Scripture, Tradition, Reason, and Experience.

Our church community has sought this faithful way above for the kingdom of God so that we can revitalize our church ministry with others.

We welcome you to be here. Together we will help you become Jesus’ disciple for your soul and faithful journey!
